Wall and ceiling work by building type.
Each building type puts different demands on the same trade: fire ratings, sound ratings, blocking, finish level and schedule. This is what we plan for in each.
Office tenant improvements
Demising walls between tenants, sound-rated walls at conference rooms, open-office ACT with bulkheads at the core.
Often occupied floors above and below. We plan noisy cutting and deliveries around building hours set by the property manager.
Medical and dental clinics
Sound-rated exam rooms, blocking for casework, wall-hung equipment and grab bars, moisture-resistant board at sinks.
Blocking locations come from the equipment and casework drawings, so we confirm them in an RFI before board goes on.
Schools and higher education
Abuse-resistant board in corridors, rated walls at stairs and corridors, high-NRC tile in classrooms.
Summer-break schedules are tight. We staff up for June through August and phase work by wing.
Multifamily, 4 units and up
Unit separation walls and rated corridor walls to the listed assembly, shaft wall at elevators and trash chutes.
Repetitive layouts let us pre-cut and stock floors in sequence, which keeps the drywall schedule ahead of finishes.
Retail and restaurants
Storefront bulkheads, Level 5 at feature walls, gypsum ceilings at dining rooms, FRP-ready board in kitchens.
Opening dates are fixed. We build to the turnover date in your schedule and work extended shifts when needed.
Office areas in light industrial
Offices, break rooms and restrooms inside warehouse and plant buildings, ceilings under open structure.
Tall walls to deck need heavier studs and deflection track. We size them from the manufacturer's limiting-height tables.
